Kiezteams
Our neighborhood teams (Kiezteams) have collected signatures all over Berlin and organized the referendum. They're now working at the local level to ensure that the people's vote is implemented. In the Kiezteams, people from the neighborhood get to know each other, plan actions together, prepare events, have door-to-door conversations, and ask stores, cafés, and associations if they support us. More than 1,000 people are now active in our Kiezteams.
Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf
From the large Deutsche Wohnen estates in Siemensstadt to the wealth-afflicted areas in Grunewald, the Kiezteam Cha-Wi stands up to the madness of local housing policy.
Friedrichshain
"All of Friedrichshain is occupied by real estate sharks." All of Friedrichshain? No! A Kiezteam of indomitable tenants will not stop resisting. Join in!
Kreuzberg
Typically the first to put up posters, often the last at parties - this Kiezteam is putting Kreuzberg back on the DWE city map with boat demos and Kiezkarneval!
Lichtenberg
Collecting signatures on the rough outer-borough pavement has bonded us together. Now we meet every Wednesday in the beautiful green courtyard of Magda.
Marzahn-Hellersdorf
The 'Platten' - the block buildings - have not deterred us. On the contrary, a clear majority in Marzahn-Hellersdorf has spoken in favour of socialisation. So we're staying on it!
Mitte
Whether it's putting up posters around Alexanderplatz or annoying the MPs in front of their offices, we're on it and in the middle of it!
Moabit
We're one of the smaller Kiezteams and take care of our small-but-nice neighbourhood with info stands, flyer campaigns and sometimes door-to-door conversations.
Neukölln
From Hermannplatz to Rudow, we are painting our neighbourhoods in purple and yellow. We help Neuköllners take action against rising rents and catastrophic housing conditions.
Pankow-Prenzlauer Berg
We flyer and celebrate! We put up posters and cheers our drinks! Every fortnight we meet for a plenary session at the Pankow Youth Centre.
Spandau
The Kiezteam Spandau has a minimalist set-up, but we think DWE is great. We would love to have additional activists. Maybe it's you!
Steglitz-Zehlendorf
Tough work, but with purple charm, we fight for socialisation. After all, Covivio is letting flats go mouldy, cultural centres are being displaced and rents are rising. Come by!
Tempelhof-Schöneberg
Bicycle demos. Organizing. Kiezteam love! Posters. Protest. Mobilizing. Get involved! Piece by piece, we'll take back our city!
Treptow-Köpenick
From Alt-Treptow to Rahnsdorf, in Berlin's largest district in terms of area, come fight for socialisation! Get to know people and sport some yellow-purple with us. Join in!
Wedding-Reinickendorf
We update residents in Reinickendorf and Wedding about the status of the campaign. Our info tables are always met with great interest and receive a lot of encouragement!

Workgroups
Through our collective action, we built a structure that enabled us to successfully win the referendum. But our work doesn't stop there. We need you to continue to put pressure on politics and fight for a livable Berlin! Join one of our working groups and help us keep Berlin our home.
AG Right To The City For All
R2C is a non-German work group where Berliners bring their knowledge, experiences and enthusiasm to the campaign to socialize housing. We are some of the 25% of Berlin residents who are excluded from voting because of our passports. R2C is also the home of the Cheerleading Squad. We come from all over the city, organise regular activities and meet once per month to learn from and with each other, to give support and to create a community!
Aktions-AG
You know us from the numerous posters and events in Berlin and would like to become part of the purple-yellow movement yourself? Then the Action group is the right place for you. There we design posters and flyers, and plan many other actions to raise awareness and draw attention to our cause.
Öffentlichkeits-AG
We have to be loud, give Berlin's tenants a voice and counter the financially strong real estate lobby. That's why we stand up for the interests of tenants in different formats and on numerous channels. If you are interested in writing, press work, social media or other creative formats, then come to the public relations group.
Sammel-AG
Thanks to good coordination, we were able to collect so many signatures for the referendum. Now we need a lively movement to put an end to the rent madness. The Sammel-AG coordinates the mobilization of Berliners and supports the neighborhood teams.
Starthilfe-AG
Heating isn't repaired? Eviction? House being sold? We support tenants in organizing and networking. Together we can oppose the profit-oriented companies. Whether you already have experience or want to learn how to help other tenants, come to the Starthilfe-AG!
Vergesellschaftungs-AG
A better world is possible! How socialization succeeds, how the economy can be made more democratic, and much more is worked out in our Socialization working group. If you're interested in the legal foundations of our movement, then come to this AG.
Tenant initiatives
Found a tenants' initiative!
Dear neighbors!
Have you received a rent increase, modernization notice or other imposition from your landlords? Or are you afraid that something like this is coming soon? Would you like to fight back with your neighbors so that everyone can stay in their apartments and still have money to live on after the rent?
Get organized, get to know your neighbors, and found a tenants' initiative!
Our brochure, Zusammentun, shows you how. Together we can defend ourselves against the rent madness!
